James Wittmack, founder of Attorney Advisor Advantage, brings over 30 years of experience guiding entrepreneurs toward sustainable business growth. Recognizing an urgent need within the legal profession, he expanded his focus to address a critical gap: the lack of essential business infrastructure in law firms. This gap exists not due to a lack of talent or dedication among attorneys but because traditional legal education does not prepare lawyers to manage the operational complexities of running a firm.


Initially hesitant to engage with law firms, James soon discovered that many struggle with pitfalls, blind spots, and inefficiencies in their business operations. These challenges often lead to disjointed systems, wasted resources, and overwhelming workloads. To meet this need, he developed the Launchpad Program, a strategic initiative designed to establish a firm foundation for law firms and help them achieve unprecedented levels of efficiency, profitability, and balance.


The term “Launchpad” reflects a pivotal point where a firm can build or rebuild its infrastructure for long-term success. Too often, attorneys establish their practices with confidence in their legal skills but without a strategic business plan. He persuaded the judge to rule in his favor while opposing four attorneys his former wife hired. James became so familiar with the legal system in California he may have been able to pass the bar.


James, with over a decade of experience post-college, demonstrated expertise as a turnaround specialist and troubleshooter across diverse industries. As a certified investment advisor (Series 7, 6, 63), he specialized in crafting effective business retirement programs. Notably, he established a globally renowned furniture manufacturing business from the ground up. 


Following a triumphant tenure as the CEO of another furniture manufacturing company, James transitioned to become a Regional Director for M&A firms in both Chicago and Dallas. In 2000, he founded his advisory company, showcasing a proven track record of success and strategic leadership.


Moreover, James conducted business plan writing seminars every six weeks for five years. His expertise has significantly contributed to the growth of numerous companies across the United States, propelling them to the next level and transforming some into national corporations.

A Life Rooted in Leadership & Resilience

Beyond his professional achievements, James’s personal story reflects unwavering resilience and dedication. As a single father, he raised his children after the tragic passing of their mother, just two weeks after his daughter's 13th birthday. His commitment to family remains at the core of his life and values.


An avid outdoorsman, James finds balance through adventure, engaging in motorcycle rides through the mountains, golf, surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, boogie boarding, pickleball, and camping. He actively participates in events alongside his son, daughter, and colleagues, valuing shared experiences and personal growth.


His son serves as a firefighter paramedic in Chula Vista, CA, while his daughter is on track to complete her Master’s Degree in Architecture at UCLA by 2025.
